A 1990-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre and former Director General of Police, Ms. Anju Gupta is a distinguished law enforcement and strategic security expert with over three decades of service. She has served across key districts in Uttar Pradesh and held senior assignments with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, UNESCAP (Bangkok), and UNODC (Delhi).
Decorated with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, the Government of India Medal for Gallantry, and the United Nations Medal, she has also been recognized with the FICCI Smart Policing Award and ET Inspiring Women Leader Award.A noted expert in strategic security affairs and counter-terrorism, Ms. Gupta advises on security, governance, and geopolitics, with a strong focus on leveraging artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to strengthen national defence and institutional capacity.
