More major brand-name Wi-Fi router vulnerabilities continue to be discovered, and continue to go unpatched, a security researcher has revealed. The latest study continues to show that the small office and home office Wi-Fi routers are very vulnerable to attack, Till now, at least 56 new Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, or CVEs, have been found in popular routers (Holcomb and the other ISE researchers). These vulnerabilities appear to affect most routers, and are hard to fix, these could put nearly every person who connects to a vulnerable router at risk, and, thereby exposes the Wi-Fi to Identity theft. By using AuthShield 2-Factor Authentication, Identity theft can be effectively controlled. On deployment of AuthShield, whenever the user connects to Wi-Fi, the user has to enter the One Time Password (OTP) by using his token. On entering the correct OTP only, the user gets authenticated and gains access to the Internet. Thus it ensures that only the genuine user has access to an enterprise's Wi-Fi.
